Please do not use html code in thread names. It ruins the layout of the main threads page. Thanks.

And no quotes (")!

Hey, Andreas, I think Max has the quotes problem fixed. I put double quotes (") in a thread title, and they came out single (') - and searchable. Pretty nifty. Still, it's probably better not to tempt fate, so leaving the fancy stuff out of thread titles is a good idea.

At least in the subjects of a message the quotes are kept...

I guess if we have "Thought For The Day" we can have "Dumb Question Of The Day"....what does "NO HTML." mean?? for example??.......(I know...read the HTML thread!!! I will do my homework .....soon.....just want to check on ONE more other thread first...) Having quick read the HTML thread, I'm not sure I'd find an example of the problem there though.

In other words, don't use commands that go in those angle brackets, like the <br> command. There are a couple of threads going now that have bold <b> type in the title. I think that might not cause a problem (although it may affect the Forum Search), but we're better safe than sorry and better off not using any HTML tags within thread titles.
