Subject: First Recordings of Some Traditional Ballads From: tomtom Date: 21 May 99 - 02:45 PM I'm was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their heads when the following oft-recorded ballads were first recorded and by whom. I'm in the process of researching the stuff, but if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Stagolee Frankie and Albert (or Johnny) Casey Jones Any of the variously named Titanic ballads Butcher's Boy thanks everybody, tomtom |
