How do all!

I've just been chatting to Noel, who as many of you will probably know, has had to stop his gallivanting and gigging on health-related grounds. He still does the odd bit of radio, though as wild rovers aren't as welcome as they once were on the airwaves, it's sadly not enough.

But he's in good form and says a big howdy to the many people he met and sang for over the 40+ years he spent doing the rounds of folk clubs and festivals. Speaking of which, for those who may not know it, Noel has recently released a wonderful double CD retrospective, 'The quality Of Murphy'.

Mostly comprising live material, it sadly doesn't have any of Noel's anecdotes and stories on it, but all the songs are a joy and, as well as the old favourites, include some rare old gems, 'Dinny Burns The Piper' amongst 'em.

At the risk of sounding like his agent, the CD is available direct from Noel by whacking a cheque for £16 (including postage) off to him at PO Box 57, Helston, Cornwall. I'm not sure what those from outside the UK would need to do, other than send a cheque for the equivalent amount in dollars, yen, euros or whatever, but for sure it's worth the effort.

Jim
