My mother-in-law says she remembers a novelty song from the "big band era" called THE BOY WHO CUTS HIS OWN HAIR. All she could tell me was that the style was similar to Glen Miller.

My usual sources failed to find it. Does it ring a bell for anyone?

Don't know the song, but when a barber dropped his potato chips down the back of my neck while giving me a haircut on 28 April 1981 it pissed me off so much that I haven't been back in a barbershop since. (And for the first 20 years of that time I did cut my own to a nicely trimmed conventional style.)

I can understand how it might happen.

John

Well, this YouTube clip isn't the song, obviously - but it is rather fun. They Cut Wrong My Hair
