(and before you ask, I'm not the promoter!!) So, all avenues need to be explored. Hence this missive. I would urge anyone within spitting distance of Faversham to get to this gig. The venue is small, but intimate, and the band are superb. Probably the only chance to see them this year in the UK. And at 7 Pounds ? A veritable snip, as us English say. Be there or be square!!!! Details below. FOLLIA PLAY FAVERSHAM Follia, the most exciting thing to hit the Belgian folk/rock scene in years, are appearing for one night only at the Arden Theatre in Faversham on Saturday, 14th June, at 7.30 p.m. Follia are a seven strong contingent from the celebrated folk co-operative, Trommelfluit, who have visited the Faversham Hop Festival in the past and taken it by storm. With several instruments and voices between them, they consistently entertain and captivate their audiences. Do not miss this chance to catch them as they briefly touch down in the south-east. Herne Bay street festival on the afternoon of the evening Faversham concert and another gig in Whitstable on June 15. I've journeyed into Kent before to see this mighty band. It really did begin to open the Doors Of Perception. And I'm not just talking about Johan's magnificent pipe playing. Go, and wonder. |
