Georgian born US acoustic guitarist and singer/songwrite, Brooks' style combines roots, jazz, blues, classical, and folk and he has released albums consisting of contemporary folk music and others of instrumental guitar music. His ability to play the guitar so it sounds as if two people were playing has won him many admirers. With bluesy fingerpicking, soaring bottleneck slide, and swinging flatpicking, Brooks Williams' music is rooted in the blues and is as fresh and original as any music you are likely to hear. His unique combination of traditional and original music inspired Dirty Linen magazine to call Brooks Williams one of "America's musical treasures."

"breathtakingly beautiful fingerstyle artistry." (GUITAR PLAYER magazine)

California born and raised but these days London-based, Guy Tortora is a blues-based roots songwriter who's music has been regularly played by Paul Jones on his BBC Radio Show. Tonight he'll play a short solo set featuring songs from his new album 'Living On Credit'

Brooks is awesome and on my list of folks to see if at all possible if and when he's ever in the country. Such a lovely, warm personality and stunning guitarist. Great vocals, too, and incredible diversity of material. Last time I saw him, he did this tune in Ab. He said something about it being a challenge. Well, yes, you bet: but even that sounded wonderful.
