Subject: RE: irish chords and lyrics site From: Mick Lowe Date: 24 May 99 - 06:35 AM Always one to help a Fair Young Maid in distress, I suppose I should come to your rescue. There is only one site you need and that is PROF'S PAGES Now how did you know I was going to say that? As an aside and an explanation as to why I type the following. I was really chuffed with myself when I first got the "Blue Clicky Thing" to work, but lately as I read through threads I've found it increasingly annoying that we are all using it, especially if I don't want to zap over to it immediately, but would rather make a note for future reference.. Hence here is the URl for the above link for those not wanting to visit until later www.prof.co.uk/irish1.htm Cheers Mick |
Subject: RE: irish chords and lyrics site From: Benjamin Bodhránaí Date: 24 May 99 - 04:18 AM I think you'll be pushing it!!! Usually only lyrics are posted on sites, archives and forums, and the easiest way to get chords is to specifically ask for chords of a song. We all tend to play things differently depending on the key we choose and which chords in that key on guitar sound okay. Sometimes transcription does not sound to good, and using capos goes to high. Anyway are there partiticualr songs you are looking for? If so continue this thread or start another one with a Chord request flag (CHD REQ: Irish Songs) or something like that. Subject: trad chords/score and lyrics site From: Rita64 Date: 24 May 99 - 03:15 AM Anyone know of site(s), both Irish and trad music from other lands, that contain both lyrics and the accompanying chords/score? I have searched a little but I can only find fan sites that render their interpretation of their idol's recordings. HELP! Thanks in anticipation. |
