A friend of mine is looking for Title to song...she writes


"Looking for name of song that was a slow song about an old woman and being alone...and something about someone passing by her home and showing her kindness...can't remember whether the old woman was the main point of the song or the person passing by showing the kindness...part that stands out vividly in my mind is the loneliness of the old woman...I must have had a cassette of the artist....was a female artist of the Joan Baez, Rita Coolidge, Mary McGregor type. I searched the lists of top 100 songs for 1974-1979 and didn't recognize any artist or song title.....

This has been driving me nuts for a year now...I can only catch a snippet of the song in my memory!! Help please!!"




Anyone have any idea of what song she is speaking of?

She could be referring to "Old Time Woman" by Holly Near.
