For about two years I have been trying to do something on the Mudcat with no results. Anyone want to guess what is not working? Joe Offer, please stay out for a bit if you read this thread. If it is not found I will state the problem with the hopes that someone will help to make it work. If I could I would but I just don't know how.

Zen wins Beardedbruce 79 Jeep Cherokee Chief ( on the J20 chassis)?

Lost of rust but only about 15K miles on this dirvetrain ( 360/quadratrac automatic). See thread: If I Sound Predjudice.

Now the question is, does anyone offer to help patch this hole. But then again maybe the powers that be prefer to leave it alone. What you think Joe? Would the folks that administer this part of the Mudcat want help? If the present person is way to busy or for other reasons unable to do this particular section anymore, maybe some other member would come forward.

Gnu, you have made a very good point. Sorry for not being clear. Yes you can enter the area and read about members, see pictures, and all the other categories that are listed. However, you can't register. Let me rephrase that. You can register but no one follows up on it.

We started a Mudcat site at myopera.com for any new members' photo folks would like to have posted, until Jeff and/or Max can sort out the problems with the onsite pages. You can email photos to Joe at [e-mail].

I am much more interested in posting a profile than in sharing photos -- I'm so nonphotogenic that I've been known to crack lenses. So thanks for the Myopera option, but I'll hold out for the Mudcat fix.

Claire, I don't see why you couldn't send in a drawing or artwork with profile text to posted with it at the myopera thing. I think that would be fine/work. I don't think there's any limit for "captions." Course I can understand wanting it on Mudcat instead of a bigger general site, too.

You also can't get people who are talking bollocks and repeating a worthless and specious argument to change their minds and admit that they were wrong...

But then that is true everywhere, not just on Mudcat. ;-)

Well, OK, so it has been discussed, and I have stayed out of the discussion. Now I'm going to close the thread because we've found discussions like this are unproductive.

I told Beer long ago that Jeff hasn't been able to update Member Photos and Information, and I gave him information about the alternate service we had set up at MyOpera.

Things like this are best handled privately. I gave Beer his answer privately long ago. We also had a long thread describing the problem and the solution we've offered.
