I understand the fragrant Ms Carthy will be gracing the Radio 4 airwaves this afternoon on the culture programme Front Row (7:15 - 7:45).

It must be coincidence - but Topic have emailed me with an offer for Eliza's new album "Dreams of Breathing Underwater", release date 23 June.

If I order before Saturday, it will be despatched on Monday.

Eliza's profile is very high at the moment because of the new CD - hardly a day seems to go by without her picture being in one of the broadsheets. I expect (and hope) she's talking about the new album on Front Row.

I love Mr Magnifico which is on Songlines latest cover CD and on the Proper £2 sampler (which is great). Really bizarre song. Not heard the rest of the CD but I think Songlines may be including it as one of their subscription CDs so hopefully will get it when I resubscribe
