Subject: Radio Ballas book and transcript From: Wolfgang Date: 20 Jun 08 - 02:48 PM I've posted some of this information in one of the old threads but I think this information should have its own thread with the main info already in the title. Set into song (Peter Cox) is a new book about the Radio Ballads. You can see the chapters (each with a link to the first two pages) on the above link. It looks really good (from what I have seen so far). I'll buy it based on that information. If you click on "Further Material" on the book page you'll find transcripts of all the (old) Radio Ballads. That must have been a labour of love. Wolfgang |

Subject: RE: Radio Ballads From: Joe Offer Date: 08 Apr 21 - 03:09 PM I chanced upon this at archive.org: It's a defunct website about the 2008 Peter Cox book, Set Into Song: Ewan MacColl, Charles Parker, Peggy Seeger, and the Radio Ballads. Lots of interesting material to explore, including a script for "The Big Hewer":
Can we find other Radio Ballads scripts there? I haven't figured out how. Lots of Ewan MacColl recordings here, including what appears to be full recordings of at least some of the Radio Ballads: |

Subject: RE: Radio Ballads book and transcript ONLINE!!! From: Reinhard Date: 25 May 21 - 01:36 PM The setintosong directory on the Charles Parker Archive Trust site seems to be gone after just a short time being available. I would like to add the radio ballad transcription PDFs to the radio ballad page on Mainly Norfolk, but I'm not sure if the CPA Trust pages haven't been removed because of copyright problems. So I'm a bit wary. |
