Subject: New Roots finalists, St Albans, July 11 From: GUEST Date: 12 Jul 08 - 07:32 PM Three finalists in April's New Roots event for young musicians, Jennifer Considine, Ben Walas and Terry Emm can be heard at a showcase event at the Rose and Crown, St Michael's Street, St Albans on Sunday July 13, starting at 8pm. Terry Emm is a 20 year old singer songwriter from Luton, who is beginning to make his performs both solo and as a duo with fellow musician Simon Stewart, also from Luton, he is beginning to be heard more widely at clubs and festivals. He is working on a debut album with a producer, Richard Durrant, of Longman Records. Rock N' Reel Magazine said of him. 'Terry Emm is one of those young folk singer-songwriters you see appear creeping on stage at a folk club without uttering a word to the audience and unexpectedly out comes something really beautiful'. Jennifer Considine, also from Luton, is at an earlier stage in her development as a singer songwriter, with her thoughtful songs about contemporary concerns and issues. Ben Walas is a melodeon player and morris dancer from Northamptonshire, with lively traditional dance tunes which will set your feet tapping. |

Keep up the good work Alison! Looks like Luton has plenty of young talent, good luck to all of them for the Final today!!! |
