I remember hearing Hank Snow do a wonderful version of this song.I know the melody but, for the life of me ,I can't find the lyrics.Could someone please help?

I believe this was written by my friend, Harold Breau, Lenny Breau's father. I know he recorded it.

There maybe some mistakes as Mum wrote it out for me then years later I had it typed. So my "Words and music by Harold Breau" could be not exactly correct. Just thought I should mention this.

Harold Breau performed under the name Hal Lone Pine and he used to tour around the Maritimes years ago. In the late 60's I spent an evening listening to him in a lounge in Summerside. I think he sang that PEI song three or four times to fill requests. I bought an lp from him that night that he autographed for me. It has the PEI soing on it.

A few more bits of trivia:
When I first started playing guitar and singing in public it was on Hal's traveling show. My cousin, Gene Hooper, another old time country singer married Hal's wife's sister. Her name is Flo, and they no longer perform due to health and age problems.

Hal and Betty recorded for RCA Victor a song the title of which escapes me. It's about finding an old guitar and writing a song about it.
