Hi. I blatantly ripped off Jacqui C's idea, and am contributing 10 copies of my book Clean Cabbage in the Bucket, and 10 copies of my new CD Sailing Ships & Sailing Men to be auctioned with 90% going to Open Mike and 10% to the Mudcat. Bid your little hearts out, it's for a worthy cause.

Hi, Maeve - Seamus told me postage is included in the auction price for this one.
Now for the sake of honesty, Seamus isn't the only author of the collection of stories called Clean Cabbage in the Bucket - so if you don't like Seamus, you'll like the other authors. It's a great book.

Debra, look in the BS section. Open Mike/Laurel is a member in California who lost her home to wildfires while she was out fighting said fires to save others' homes!

Just go to the auction and follow the steps, folks. Open Mike and others of her patch of land lost their houses to wildfires while she was out saving other peoples' homes from the same fires. See the BS thread about Open Mike Losing her home, etc.

I don't know how others feel, but it might be better to stretch these things out so that folks can afford to bid on several items without their budgets being overwhelmed all at once? What say you all?

Sounds like a very good idea Kat - I already suggested that to Peace, who wants to put some CDs into the auction.

Laurel probably won't need this cash too urgently so there's no real rush for everything to go on.

Okay, I've got three new releases of all original songs to add to the auction, "Handsful O' Blues" 11 Blues and Novelty songs, "These Old Shoes" my kinder gentler offering of 12 sweeter and sillier Folk/Blues and "War Mongerin' Man" 13 no holds barred seriously social messages. I'll check the procedures regarding how to add them. I can certainly abide by whatever process is acceptable for the greater good of the cause.

i think big mick and or rapaire might have a pay pal deal going on..
i just got back from visiting the land and my former home...the bridges are burned--literally and figuratively, but some new leaves are sprouting on the grape vines, and there are day lillies poking up
thru the ashen ground. mother nature is resiliant, and so must we be.
it is strangehow some of the things that made it thru are ceramic...
