The Golden Rule...about the only thing mankind agrees on (but doesn't necessarily follow)...do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

Best wishes,

Peter

The reason I ask is there is a pub in Ambleside, Cumbria called the Golden Rule.

Thanks (D) for letting (G) us stand on your (D) stage,
Thanks for your prescence to-(A) nite
Thanks (D) to the people (G) who ran the (D) sound
And to the people (A) who handled the (D) lights,

Thanks for coming (G) to see (D) us
When you could have been elsewhere (A) instead
And (D) for the folks (G) who put the show (D) on
And for the bald spot (A) on top of my (D) head

This show is not (G) federally fund-(D)-ed
We hope it was fun for (A) you
Now go (D) home and do (G) under (D) others
As you would have them (A) do unto (D) you

I have just listened to this track on Good Old Boys Album with Jamey and John Hartford. It impressed me enuf to want to play along. Has anyone listened to this song and maybe worked up a tab or progression?
It sounded like John was signing off from a gig and this was the closing song.
Verne
