       First off , JOIN !! Mudcat membership is free , and it will make contacting you a LOT easier . Maryrrf (Cat member) lives in Nechanicsville and runs a traditional concert sries in Richmond ad plays regularly in Dublins Bar in Mechnicsville . IF you join , Mary can contact you with a view to getting together or what ever !

Mary is sho nuff correct that there is no shortage of old timeei bluegrass music going on in Richmond... I moved out of Richmond in '85 and still have the sound of banjo and fiddle ringing in my ears... lol...

I used to play in the basement of a church in like the 1200-1300 block of Monument Ave (Franklin Street)... Not too sure if theyr are still playin' there ot not but you might want to check into it...

Dulcimerjohn lives 2 hours from richmond but is sometimes in town. We also do jams out here in rappahannock co. Usually just friends but sometimes some biggys..Larry Keel and Natural Bridge are playing here on oct 11. Anyone in the area wanting to jam..esp stuff like steeleye span, strawbs, fairport et al holler to: Smokehousewinery@earthlink.net. Thanks, Dulcimerjohn
