I'll be on the Jamieson's - in the Boston - think that's where the Late Night concerts are as well if I'm not mistaken? Dave Jones usually gets some great artists going along there.

Weelittle drummer, I presume you mean the ferry to Larne in N.Ireland, yes you can take a car, in fact to travel on board you have to take a car. The Knott End ferry across the Wyre is just for 'people', though I believe you can take a bike!.

In the absence of any info to the contrary, I'm sorry I have to assume I won't be able to go to Fylde this year.
But it's a great lineup, and I'll be really sad to miss it.

Of course I'll be there! Watch out for ' Beware the Fylde Coast's Sands' on Sat afternoon in the Mount. 20 songs + 80 slides of wrecks & rescues on the West Lancashire coast.

I am confident the weather will be good this year (riding for a fall?), Small problem tho we bought tickets ages ago, & now find my wife's NW side are dancing ( & i've been roped in to help(or hinder) the music, so i'll have to do some refund negotiation upon arrival. I'm hoping that there will be some good tune & songs sessions in the bar this year, seem's to have been lacking in recent years. Mind with Cross o'the Hands being there i might be lucky.
Cheers
Les

I would love to be there and wish you all the best but the 'Black Bull Bender' (charity event) is the same weekend and I'm the chief kitchen slave.

The weather is always a talking point at Fleetwood! The old food tent was killed off by it last year, I didn't even bother putting my tent up, I slept in my car and am bloomin' glad I did!
I hope to be coming, once again the delicately balanced finances are key to my attendance.

We're supposed to be there acting as collectors during the dance displays. The weather better be a bit more benevolent than the last weekend though!

Yes. It's my home town too! 'Course there was a proper pier and a manned lighthouse in my early years!

I will be singing at Fylde with Sedayne. Although not listed in the line-up above(I think it was done awhile back), Sedayne is booked to do storytelling and music, and rumoured to be MC-ing too.

I grew up with this festival, Fleetwood being my home town. It'll be odd this year to be part of it as an artist and not just as a spectator.

The line-up looks good - I'm particularly looking forward to seeing Debby McLatchy again.

See you all there,

Rachel

There doesn't to be a thread on this festival yet - and it is coming up pretty soon at the end of August - so I thought I'd start one! It's my favourite North West festival - apart from Saddleworth of course! - and I'll be MCing over the weekend.

Good line up this year -
Show of Hands( Sun). John Tams & Barry Coope (BBC Radio 2 Best Folk Duo - Fri). Tim Van Eyken Trio(Sat.). The Omega3. Jez Lowe & The Bad Pennies. Nancy Kerr & James Fagan. Debby McLatchy (USA). Uiscedwr. Bernard Wrigley(Thurs). Mad Agnes(USA). Bruce Mathiske(AUS). Keith Donnelly. Askew Sisters(BBC Folk Awards Finalists). Daimh (Scot). Strawhead. Flossie(Fra). 4Square. Isambarde. Tom Topping Band. Ruth Notman Trio(BBC Folk Awards Finalist). Alan Bell Band. Brian Preston Duo. Bryony. Gary & Vera Aspey. Cross O'Th'hands. Vicky Swan & Jonny Dyer. Edwina Hayes. Stanley Accrington. Scolds Bridle. Hughie Jones. Michael Kennedy (AUS). Capt. Cooper's Motley Crew. Derek Gifford. Pat Ryan. Andrew Green. Hard Times. Ian Gartside Band. Penny Black. Fleetwood Mashers. Hugh O'Donnell. Bruce Hogg. Festival Ceilidh Band. Nicky Snell. Joe & Maureen Nicholson. Neil Brook. Roisin & Niamh Boadle. Dave Walmisley. Tom Walsh. Johnny Jump Up. Paul D. Wrigley. Rough Mix. Anna Shannon. Camellia. Joe Crane. Spitting on a Roast. Roger Barnes. Pete & Barbara Snape. Les Sullivan, Alan Whittle. Shellback Chorus.

Can't wait now!!

Ali x
