Ashley Reed - know anything about him?

Does anybody know anything about Ashley Reed? I loved his playing on the Albion Band's Acousticity, and I know he had his own band for a spell, and was in some other band whose name escapes me. I seem to recall Simon Nicol referring to him as brilliant but troubled. I tried googling him, but I didn't have much luck.

I met him in the 90's when he dropped into his local folk club in Christchuch(Dorset)from time to time. He was one of those very talented musicians whose playing seemed effortless. A very friendly and approachable guy.
Also saw him with The Albions and at Wimborne Folk Festival.
Hope he is well.
