Subject: Lorient 2008 Festival From: sian, west wales Date: 21 Aug 08 - 09:50 AM Wales was the sponsoring nation at this year's Lorient Interceltique Festival and from all reports we kicked butt. Well - all reports that I've had from people who were there; you wouldn't know it from reading our 'national' papers. However, there is going to be a programme on S4C this Monday, with subtitles, and online viewing thereafter (I think) which might appeal to UK 'Catters. The following is from their Viewers' Hotline: I am pleased to inform you that Wedi 7 is scheduled to be broadcast on S4C on Monday 25 August at 19.15, with subtitles, and will also be available to view on our website www.s4c.co.uk/watch I must stress however, that this is the planned schedule and may be subject to change. We advise, therefore, that you keep an eye on your television listings so as to avoid any disappointment. These are available via S4C's website, www.s4c.co.uk/listings Wedi 7 - In a special Wedi 7 bank holiday episode, Aneirin Karadog visits the Pan-Celtic festival at Lorient. It's the 38th time the festival has been held and this year the Welsh are in charge! Aneirin, who is also performing at the festival, will be meeting fellow performers and enjoying the various events. I'm looking forward to it - couldn't go myself as I was holding the fort at the Eisteddfod which is at the same time. sian |
