Short notice I know, but the third annual Celts & Currachs festival is tomorrow, August 23, in New London CT. It runs 10 to 7, right on the piers at Waterfront Park, and is FREE. We have Jodee James singing Welsh (and Cornish) songs, Dan Ringrose and Danny O'Flaherty singing Irish songs, the Mystic Highland Pipe Band, Ed Miller singing Scots songs, Glenn Pryor playing both war pipes and lowland smallpipes, Spirited Soles Irish Dance Troup, the Mystic Scottish Country Dancers, Celtic Melody playing Irish tunes, Trouz Bras with Breton tunes and songs, cultural exhibits and booths, vendors, food, demonstrations, and audience dancing; should be perfect weather and a lot of fun!

Joe or JoeClone, I added '(US)' as an afterthought and apparently I did so too late. Could you fix it please?

This will be Trouz Bras's last performence as a group after this they will be no more. As I understand it Sharynne MacLeod NicMhacha, lead vocalist & Mance Grady, bodhran player & percussionist may do a few things together after this but you'll not hear a group like this in a long time to come.

I hope many people get there to hear these fine musicians. Barry, will you be there? I'd love to have been able to attend.

Hi Maeve
I'll be at the shanty session, I wish I could've gone. I'd have love to have seen Trouz Bras one more time & I've never seen Ed Miller, through I've heard him, live would've been a real treat.

Barry

You'll have fun at the shanty session, of course!

Ed Miller is good. I saw him years ago- at an Edinbutgh folk club, I believe.
