Subject: Lyr Req: Blind Jessie Harris' 'Railroad Bill' From: John Minear Date: 30 Aug 08 - 09:31 AM Here's another "Railroad Bill" request. I'm looking for a full set of lyrics this time. Can anyone decipher Blind Jessie Harris' version of "Railroad Bill". You can find this on "Field Recordings Vol. 4: Mississippi & Alabama (1934-1942)" from Document Records. I don't own the album and don't know whether the lyrics are included in the liner notes or not. I think this is a fairly early version of "Railroad Bill" recorded back in the late 1930's. I would appreciate any help you could give me on this one. Thanks. |
