Subject: RE: Ingleton FF 2008, Who's going? From: GUEST,dozy rozy Date: 05 Sep 08 - 02:02 PM Is there camping available anywhere?I used to camp by the hill inn many centuries ago.Is that still an option? |
Subject: RE: Ingleton FF 2008, Who's going? From: JHW Date: 05 Sep 08 - 02:42 PM There's a campsite two miles the wrong way (away from town) from the Hill Inn (great venue but very dear food, soup could be a fiver by this year!). Thanks for the reminder to check out B&B! John |
Subject: RE: Ingleton FF 2008, Who's going? From: Acorn4 Date: 05 Sep 08 - 04:38 PM We're seriously considering coming, but would like info on places to park a caravan. |
Subject: RE: Ingleton FF 2008, Who's going? From: Blowzabella Date: 05 Sep 08 - 09:15 PM I might try to get along - especially to see Bob & Stu - but would be travelling, not staying over I imagine, as only live about 40 mins away |
Subject: RE: Ingleton FF 2008, Who's going? From: The Doctor Date: 06 Sep 08 - 06:29 AM Assuming my ankle holds up we shall be there, in our motorhome. These can be parked in the main carpark by the community centre, and also in the pub carparks, by arrangement with landlords, so presumably caravans would work too, but if you're talking about camping within tent I don't know. There is camping up by Ribblehead Viaduct, but the way the weather is going I'm not sure about that either. Certainly there are b&bs but they're likely to book up. |

Subject: RE: Ingleton FF 2008, Who's going? From: Big Al Whittle Date: 06 Sep 08 - 09:07 AM Its a great area of natural beauty, but I made the mistake a few years back, of going to and entering the amusing song contest. It all seemed very clannish - and it seemed that way to other contestants, some of whom had come even further than I had from Nottingham), and it was a tad disappointing. Can't fault the place though. It was the first time I'd been, and it was a great experience seeing that big railway viaduct - well worth going, if just for that. |
Subject: RE: Ingleton FF 2008, Who's going? From: John J Date: 06 Sep 08 - 09:36 AM We may roll up on the Friday, but we'll have to leave on Saturday 'cos I playing a ceilidh on the Saturday night. All depends on finding a suitable spot to put the caravan. JJ |
