Get rid of that flatpick!
Here is some FREE useful info, to help you achieve faster, bare fingerpicking, on your guitar.
Practice, practice, my new single finger DOWN/UP pattern. You CAN get good at it, and you will be inspired to improvise. You will be amazed, that you CAN play those very fast bluesy runs and jazz/rock riffs, I'm sure.

On an acoustic guitar - which is the main choice ( I hope ) for folkies - you'll never get the attack, volume and articulation with fingers that you can get with a plectrum. Can you imagine Tony Rice or Django doing what they do/did playing fingerstyle?

Back 3 years ago, 2008, all my lessons and charts were free.
However, times have changed and it costs a lot more to keep a website with this kind of info available...
but I still provide free info and lessons where feasible. So check out my site and search for all the goodies.
