All of them are pretty good.Last year was great (If a bit loud !!). Grooves in Kirkwall has a programme and tickets and a synopsis of the acts. There was a run down in the Orcadian a couple of weeks ago. But certainly; Bad liars amd lue Rooster are worth a trip. Son Henry is supposed to be good but I have never seen him.Pity there is nothing at the Commadore or in Kirkwall this year.

Only name in there that I know is Keith Christmas ! He 'Did' Oldest Swinger for Fred Wedlock (No mention of the REAL writer) and is a Very Good guitarist , though (I M H O ) he does know it ! I was on the fringes of the Late Sixties blues revival in England so DO know
a bit about it , though the newer guys are strangers .

I think Ed Pickford wrote "The Oldest Swinger". However, Keith Christmas definitely wrote "Robin Head", which Fred Wedlock recorded and "Getting Religion" is a lot of fun too.

I should have added, I wish I was going to be there. It all sounds like a lot more fun than marking class tests!

It's this weekendhttp://orkneyblues.co.uk/.

I won't get to see anything on Friday as I'll be playing for the dancing in the Hope.(Will get to Stromness on Saturday) But if anyone gets across the water it'll be worth it.
