Hi ya'll. I told a bunch of people on here I would let them know when I post new songs on my myspace. I just put 5 new songs up and they are in the process of posting right now. They are from a session I did in Nashville yesterday with Jeremy Holt and Alex A. Jeremy is a session muscian from Nashville and is a great all around musician playing anything with strings. He learned guitar from Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers Band and Gov't Mule. He has played for about everyone you can think of Country, Rock, and Bluegrass and most inportantly is a GREAT guy. I am very thankful to call this man a friend. Alex A. is from Russia so I am not even going to attempt his last name lol. Alex is an Academy of Country Music award nominee and a great drummer and persussionist. He is also a great person and VERY funny. The recordings are just a rough draft work CD. Jeremy and I are starting a project band together and this was the 1st time we have ever just sit down and played together. We have been friends for a while but never picked together until yesterday. So a band was born lol. It is unmixed no overdubs no second takes. It is just like you were sitting in the room with us. Just raw but I promised a bunch of people I would post it so here it is.
thanks
JT

Jayto, they say that a mind is a terrible thing to waste. But with the talent & skill you have-as exemplified in those sound clips- I'd say you can be excused for being absent minded sometime of the time, since you sure got it goin on with your music.

I'm looking forward to your CD!

Thank ya'll man I really appreciate it. Peace that song Ghost of Appalachia is my first original I have posted. I wrote it after a cousin of mine was killed in a methane explosion in Wheatcroft Ky at Pyro Mining. Unfortunatley he is one of several and it was laying on my mind pretty heavy so I put a pen to it one night. I have written alot but that one is very special to me. I am glad ya'll like it and there will be alot more coming hopefully soon. My CD I was planning is gonna be a little delayed because I am kind of re-envisioning where I want it to go. I have been hanging out with some cats from Tom Petty's band and a I met a guy that used to play with the Grateful Dead the other day and found another kindred soul lol. We all kinda brainstormed with Jeremy (who introduced me to them) and I am seeing a clearer vision of my direction. I will keep you posted though. I have been pushing the BRUCE MURDOCH CD!!! If anyone reading this doesn't have it they better get it!!! I can't wait until we can jam together. Thanks ya'll cya

Thanks ya'll. I should have more pretty soon. I am probably going to post some from my second session that day. It was for singer songwriter Michael Harris. He wrote a song that a Preservation society is using up in northern Michigan as a theme for the preservation of a lighthouse. It is called South Fox Island Lighthouse (the song and the lighthouse). We recorded it later after I finished in Nashville and came back up to Kentucky. He did another song about some ships that sail up on the great lakes. They are good songs and when I get them I may be posting them as well. I have more from 2 more sessions coming to me sometime that is just me but I don't have them yet. I appreciate it alot and I am glad you all like it. We are getting heavy wind from hurricane Ike and a cold front clashing so I might not be on here much today (possible power outage and a gig). Weather advisories are popping up for us like crazy while I am typing this lol but I thank you all for listening and the cool comments.
cya
