I have it on good authority that the new landlord at The Court House Bar in Fore Street, Lifton, Devon,is looking for musicians and singers for a session on a regular basis.

Lifton Down is just off the A30 close to Launceston. Easy to get to.

Does the publican have any specific idea what he is looking for? Which genre? Which evening? How often? Does he want it run like a "club" or does he want to go for an "open mike"/spontaneous arrangement?

If we can fit it into the schedule of our regular sessions I will pass the word on. Most of them are much closer to Lifton than I am, it would be a long run for me. Nothing is very close to anywhere from my place.!!

We have been in to see the new publican. Yes, he would like to have music and song but has no specific plans for a regular session as yet - it's all going to be a bit "organic". The pub opens this Saturday. Any thoughts from those willing and local would be welcome
