"Award-winning singer, guitarist, songwriter and historian Dan McKinnon hails from the Canadian Maritimes, an area rich in the musical and cultural traditions of the North Atlantic. His warm baritone voice, superb guitar arrangements and original compositions have won this native Nova Scotian widespread praise. "

"Dan's most recent recording Fields of Dreams and Glory, recorded and produced at The Millstream in Toronto by Paul Mills has recently been nominated for two MIANS awards - Music Industry Association of Nova Scotia: Male Artist Recording of the Year and Folk/Roots Recording of the Year "

GO AND SEE HIM! — I personally guarantee the quality and defy anyone not to enjoy an evening listening to Dan McKinnon!" (Mudcat Cafe)

"McKinnon makes up good clear tunes with a hint of Stephen Foster and Tin Pan Alley in them and sings them with robust freshness." (Stephen Pederson, Halifax Chronicle Herald/Mail Star)

In the Spring 2006 edition of Sing Out! magazine, reviewer Rich Warren writes, "Although not his first CD, Fields of Dreams and Glory is my first encounter with this incredible artist. Hearing Dan McKinnon for the first time reminds me of the first time I heard Stan Rogers or James Keelaghan."

Any chance of Archie Fisher being around?

Have you got Nathan Rogers booked too for next year too?

Dan has been visiting the u K for many years and has worked tirelessly at finding gigs so its great to see him performing what for him I believe to be new venues

Fields of Dreams and Glory is a fine CD

You are assured of a quality evening and he has a vast repertoire so give him at least 2 1 hour sets and get yer money's worth

btw , where is the club, add details here please, i sometimes get up there, mainly by chance though.

We meet at The Pleasance cabaret bar

There's a wee map on our website.

Nathan is appearing on 10th June 2009.

Archie sometimes comes along(very rarely)but I don't know if he'll be there this week.

Look forward to see you soon.
