I believe the program is downloadable, and anyone who did that could probably send it to Mark above by torrentz.

Alas,Woe is we June Tabor fans here in the US!My favourite singer in the world and I have no way to see this epic broadcast.Does the BBC ever issue DVDs of previous broadcasts for distribution to the rest of the planet?Alot of us would pay dearly.Anyone care to discuss the music of June Tabor with me?

Ummmmm, problem with your keyboard, Diane? Nasty case of a sticky asterisk there! Unless of course it was a sticky key on the Registrar's typewriter when J*m's dad registered his birth! :-) :-)

I've just looked at the beginning of it. It's from several years ago, shot in LSO St Lukes. If it's uncut from the original broadcast, I'm in it too (NOT playing!), at a table near the front in the proximity of J*m M*r*y. What was missed out of the original broadcast was an Andy Cutting solo, The History Man, which June Tabor described as one of the finest tunes ever written. Not wrong.

Band was Mark Emerson: violin/viola, Huw Warren: piano, Andy Cutting: diatonic accordians, Tim Harries on bass, Martin Simpson: guitar and somebody I can't remember on sax.

Simply stunning, particularly that opening song. Even the piano was kept enough under control that it did not grate too much.

She is the quality of performer that simply fills me with despair to think how poorly I compare.

I saw June Tabor on BBC4 a year ago or more, she guested with the Watersons, Martin Carty and others. It was a great concert, wish I could get a DVD, it's so much better when nyou can see em.
