Subject: RE: Friday Night is Alba Night 10 Oct 08 BBC TV From: GUEST,Sueed Date: 11 Oct 08 - 07:44 PM Came across this by accident last night and watched an interesteng programme about Mingalay, all subtitled as I dont speak the lingo, wonderful old film footage, and recordings of the songs of the Island from the late 50's. Including tales of life on the island and why it was eventually abandoned in the early part of the century. A positively magical programme. Folkie Heaven. |
