I hear that these are excellent evenings of stories much praised in Chorlton and beyond. Is it true that people tell stories of a mysterious Singaround somewhere in Chorlton-cum-Hardy?

Yes, I've heard that one, Les. According to legend it's in the Beech pub. on the first Wednesday of every month at 8:30 pm ... but that could be just a tall tale ...

Well, could be true!

I notice that story telling is this very night. I think a song or two will be most welcome. Now, I have to go to Runcorn to see Jason Manford the famous Chorlton Comic but I feel sure you would be most welcome Dave!

Good luck with your event. Have you posted it on the Society for Storytelling website?

I have just launched Tees Valley Tales on Wednesday in Stockon-on-Tees. We meet in Stockton Central Library. Next meeting is 19th November. Entry is £4.

My storytelling circle is coming along nicely, thank you. We have some decent regular storytellers. We do need some more, and need to help our less experienced performers to learn techniques and to improve. That will take time. But we have quite a few people who are willing to support the club. So, hopefully it will develop gradually.
