Subject: Bold McIntyres From: Timothy Lake( therev@capital.net) Date: 13 Jun 99 - 01:11 PM I am looking for the lyrics and music to a tune called the Bold McIntyres. Mayor Whalen, an early mayor of Albany, NY, used to be regaled with this tune as he entered public rooms. My band, Drum Stella is hoping to learn it. Please send responses to my private e-mail: therev@capital.net .. Bennacht, Rev. Lake. |

Subject: RE: Lyr/Tune Req: Bold McIntyres From: MartinRyan Date: 11 May 11 - 04:14 AM From the above: The McIntyres From sweet Templemore, on Hibernia's shore, Come the family of John McIntyre; So fearless and bold, in Ireland of old, Oh, they whaled ev'ry blackguard Maguire. chorus: The Kelleys and Rileys, and O'Shannessys, The Caseys and ev'ry Maguire, Bow down to us low, as walking we go, It's the elegant bold McIntyres. Oh, every man of the Intyre clan, Sure they're prouder than the great Marc Anthony; And born without a mark, they all see in the dark, Like an owl on a gooseberry tree. Oh, there's Uncle Pat, with his high beaver hat, Cousin Tim who would ate a Maguire; There's Tom and Jack the twins, who stand upon their pins, Like an elegant bold McIntyre. ------------------- Gotta be a contender! Regards |
