Its possible to sing a version of Bunch of Thyme and the Dundee Weaver as alternate verses ... just for a change the verses have in pairs of the same theme ... Roughly

I very much doubt this is traditional, though some bits of it are. E.G. "never let a [fellow] an inch above your knee" is a pretty common trope, that you find in songs like "Up among the Heather" and "The Dundee Weaver". Or this, got from an elderly lady in 1964, learned in Lanarkshire c. 1910 maybe.

I spent many a misspent youthfull night there after drinking cider and tornado in the Sarry Heid. Then we some times hitched a hudgie on the back step of one of the electric bin lorry as far as Kelvinhaugh

Hi, i am looking for a scottish cd compilation with the song "The Glasgow Barrowlands" on it sung by either Eddi Reader or another. or even any other compilation it may be on. I know there is one out ther, i just cant find the title. It is a very funny song and holds special memories for me! Can anyone help me please????
