Subject: Tech: Guitar - The egyptian From: Steve Benbows protege Date: 19 Oct 08 - 03:02 PM Guys, Am i remembering wrong. About five years ago there was a guitar on the market called the egyptian. If I am not barking mad - who made it and is it still in production. From what I remember it kind of looked like a maccaferri copy with a larger sound hole. Have I remembered right? Peter |
Subject: RE: Tech: Guitar - The egyptian From: GUEST,GavDav Date: 19 Oct 08 - 03:29 PM The Egyptian was made by Fylde, and was originally a kind of floating bridge version of the caliban, which was itself a variation on the oberon. It has changed quite a lot over time but they do still make one. check it out at the fylde site. http://www.fyldeguitars.com/index1.html |
