I've been on it for about a year and find it brilliant. Lots of old clips of programs and songs from my childhood, also old German, Italian, Brazilian, swing, old-time and Irish music that you won't find anywhere else. Loads of video lessons for my banjo and mandolin. I'm subscribed to about 80 sites that have my favourite music and get notified whenever they upload something new. I download particular favourites. Couldn't agree with you more Mooh in the policing. My grand son on 9 years is not permitted to go on You Tube without supervision. Way to easy to get in areas of concern.

No problems at all, pretty much since it started. Heavy traffic seems to slow it down a bit but we've got high speed and a quick computer so it's not a big deal. It's a huge benefit while teaching music, easier than acquiring cds or downloading everything, especially for music I don't personally have any interest in owning.

My only complaint is the same as with the rest of the internet, too much duplication and too little policing, but otherwise...what do you want for nothing?

Make a new seperate email for signing up if your particularly worried. I've not had any spam yet from youtube. I recommend gmail. Not had any spam get through the filter yet.

as far as I recall the only information Youtube required for membership was your email address.

I don't think they are really that interested in selling your details to spam merchants, but hey, just because I'm not paranoid doesn't mean it won't happen to me ...

No problems... and you can save a list of favourite clips.

If you have a system with passwords, it isn't a problem...

I wouldn't join as it would mean another 'password' to retain. Too many, in fact way too many passwords in the old memory bank already. I enjoy You Toob just as it is without being amember.

Plus who knows ... all the info required to fill in the online form for membership would just be sold to some spam or telemarketing marketing firm.

I love youtube. I can find almost anything I am interested in on there. I joined it a couple of years ago and have had no trouble. I really like being able to leave messages and rate videos.

I joined this year so that I could comment on videos that I enjoy. I am hoping to put some of my own videos on in the not too distant future but certainly I have had no problems.

I don't actually logon every time I want to check on something, I have a link to my homepage so that I bring that straight up and can just click on something I want to look at without actually logging on. If I want to comment etc. then I logon.

I had to have the idea of a subscription and the plus or minus that sometimes comes against a comment explained to me because I didn't find much on youtube to help me understand that.

When you sign up, you can create a "playlist" which is a great way to watch - or just listen to - music.

Its much easier to use once you sign up. You can favorite a video rather than having to bookmark it. etc. I've been signed up for a little while had no problems.

I like it although it takes ages to upload a video. I once uploaded one which was 10 mins long and it took 4 hours!!!
