*/This Wednesday, 22 October, at 7.30pm/*. The BBC in the North East
and Cumbria regions will air a segment of Inside Out featuring two
shanty singers from the James Madison Carpenter Collection
(http://www.hrionline.ac.uk/carpenter/). Outside this region, it can be
seen live on Sky, Channel 975 and will also be available on BBC iPlayer
for a week from Wed. More information, and link to the video clip will
be available soon from the Inside Out web page
http://www.bbc.co.uk/insideout. Inside Out presenter Chris Jackson has
been working with the American Folklife Center at Library of Congress and the James Madison Carpenter Project team to reunite the descendants of singers Mark Page and Edward Robinson with their musical heritage. Join Chris as he meets the families of these men and shares with them the voices and images of their ancestors.
Chris Jackson will also be discussing this segment in a short feature on
the BBC Breakfast TV programme on Wed 22 October.
