Subject: Tech: picasa help! From: GUEST,Dani Date: 24 Oct 08 - 09:30 PM I'm trying like hell to post Getaway photos, but no dice. My picasa won't upload to webalbums, and I'm pulling my hair out trying all the fixes I can find. Tried to move over the flickr, and my sign-in is never accepted. What have I done?! Anyone know more than I do about this &$%( ?! Dani |
Subject: RE: Tech: Picasa help! From: Stilly River Sage Date: 24 Oct 08 - 10:09 PM Your cookies may be the problem. Try emptying your cache (in IE, you go to the Tools menu, then drop down to Internet Options. In the General tab, click on settings in Browsing history if you want to look at them, or to empty this, click Delete.) You might also want to see how your firewall or antivirus and other security programs are behaving. SRS |
Subject: RE: Tech: picasa help! From: GUEST,Dani Date: 25 Oct 08 - 08:22 AM Did it! Cleared cache, made sure that picasa could get through the firewall. I choked on the port number thing, though, 'cause I was getting in a little over my head. If it's this hard to fix for the average person, it's not really worth using, is it? Dani |
Subject: RE: Tech: picasa help! From: Bernard Date: 25 Oct 08 - 08:30 AM Unfortunately, computers are easy to use... but not always so easy to fix! |
Subject: RE: Tech: picasa help! From: Stilly River Sage Date: 25 Oct 08 - 10:31 AM It's your firewall being difficult, not Picassa. I was having those kinds of problems with the Symantec/Norton Security and dumped it a couple of years ago. I use the free Kerio Personal Firewall and free AVG antivirus and they play nice with other software. SRS |
