Should add that you can buy the CD version on Amazon for a mere £105.95! Alternatively, there are several tracks (inc. Hey Sandy) on youtube.

I knew Scotty. Terry Macann our youth leader in the 70's used to take a group of us to see various folk artists. Scotty was a great guy who could make you sit up and listen from the very first chord he strummed on his famous 12 string acoustic. he always smoked french "disc blu" cigarettes and between songs he would stick his lit fag on the end of a sticking out guitar string. his most asked for song was Harvey Andrews "Sandy". Scotty always finished a gig with an hours sing a long of Beatles/Everly brothers/Buddy Holly Medley!!

Met Colin through Peewee Hunt ....stayed with him and Lesleya couple of times in Amsterdam and they stayed with me in Trowbridge....such a lovely man!!

I was 15 when I met Scot. He had just come to the US with his Mom and Dad, and he was working (selling shoes) for my step-aunt. She brought him to my home one Saturday just before Christmas. I was sick, running a fever, and he did his best to get me up and dancing, singing, and (in general) developing a HUGE crush on those dimples!

He played, sang, and charmed us all. I remember his version of "WVAA in Wheeling, West Virginia", imitating a radio announcer....hilarious. And, "Scotch and Soda", a difficult song to play, but he had it down at age 19.

He and his parents joined us for Christmas dinner that year, and he kissed me....I was IN LOVE!!!! (Can't remember his parents' names, but I can see their faces as plain as day.)

He went on to Cal State Long Beach (CA), and I saw him once at the Barbershop competition, but lost track of him through the years. So sorry to hear that he's gone. His wit and talent were a gift.

It is his birthday! He would have been 80 years old today!

I had forgotten about this site so I thought I would say hello.I shared a apartment with Scotty in London and it was a crazy time exhausting but I would love to be back in those times,when you see what has happened in our WORLD,where we are now.I wish some of our friends from then we see this and contact me.There so much I could say abouy Scotty just to suffice to say hope I meet him next world.If anyone reads this I was known as "BIG JOHN"
