I'll not bite at the work Jibe.
John the landlord of the tiger has been very good to us over the last 2 years or so but I'll be away for a lot of wednesday nights over the next few months, so its not fair on him not to regularly commit.
there are no other nights available really in the Tiger as its such a popular venue

A young anglo/melodeon player from Selby Joe Richardson has moved into Hull having started at the Uni last year. I'm intending to bring him to sample the various Bev sessions sometime soon.

Any chance of an up-to-date listing of the different sessions- when, where, styles/level of proficiency needed/expected/usually present please?

As you can see a lot going on in Beverley and these are just 'Trad' Session. Others will comment on Singers/Mixed meetings, Open mics and different styles.

Some good anglo/Accordian players around for Joe to mix with so he wil be made most welcome in all I'm sure.

What's this about no blue skies on the south bank Mr Pipes? Watch out with the heresy, I still have an unexpired north bank visa, and could come across and wreak havoc!
Other sessions - first Monday (that's next Monday) in the Old Black Boy in the old town of Hull - toons of all sorts.
Third monday in the Wellington, behind the Campanile Hotel at the end of Ferensway, Hull - mostly toons, some songs.
BUT a lovely weekly session takes place on the south bank in Barrow upon Humber at the Six Bells pub EVERY Tuesday. Less than ten minutes from the Humber Bridge, mostly toons some songs, very friendly, not at all cliquey, no bosses just good beer, and love for the music.
Loads of opportunity to play.
