Subject: RE: Duck Baker, Maggie Boyle and Ben Paley - 7 Nov From: folkwaller Date: 04 Nov 08 - 04:46 AM The Milkmaid is an established folk club in Bury St Edmunds. At present it is held in the Constitutional Club in Guildhall St. just yards from the town centre. It is a very comfortable venue with a bar that sells beer from the local micro brewery, Bartrams. The club was established by Terry Waldon many years ago and is very popular. Most of all the top performers have performed there. Martin Simpson, Martin Carthy, Watersons,Pete Coe, Peggy Seeger, John Renbourne, Martin W-R, Swarb and many many more. Ticket prices for the Expats are £9 prebooked, £10 on the door. All we would ask is that if a ticket is pre- booked it is hohoured. Thats it in brief. |
