Subject: RE: Old banjo From: Big Mick Date: 05 Nov 08 - 02:43 PM Damn, I knew Dan Milner was an old fart, but I had no idea he had been around that long...... wait .....which century? All kidding aside, you might want to PM Liam's Brother. His name is Dan Milner, and the coincidence is striking. He might be able to help you. All the best, Mick |
Subject: RE: Old banjo From: GUEST,Liam's Brother Date: 05 Nov 08 - 03:20 PM Yes. That's my banjo alright. It was stolen from underneath my foot at Snow Hill Station in Birmingham in 1961 while I was waiting for a train to Crewe. Thank God you've found it. Dan Milner |
Subject: RE: Old banjo From: oombanjo Date: 05 Nov 08 - 05:19 PM If that's right it has come a long way it was bought in an auction in Driffield by the best uke players over here East yorkshire about 12 years ago. that was the first time that I saw it.it has taken me all that time to get him to part with it, it cost me one old arch top and a flat top in exchange.I was just about to get it converted into a 5 string by Dave Stacey. Liams Brother give me a pm cheers Oombanjo |
