I know, let's make a new film starring Pete The Hat as Sydney Smirke. Fisheye could film it. We could call it "Carry On Poking With a Stick".... nominate the rest of the cast please. |

Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the Hat Date: 08 Feb 09 - 07:15 PM I believe the original site was Bishopsgate. untill Henry V111 stuck his whore in. Now days in the dead of night one can hear a low rumbling coming from the depths. Not for the fant hearted in the dead of night. I say. Its the Bakerloo line it runs directly underneath the excisting building. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the Hat Date: 08 Feb 09 - 07:01 PM The left wing and the right wing were demolished . The Portico and main building, & The Atrium still excists. IM alwqys walking round the Atrium . aint been poked with a stick yet? Crippen was inturned there and his cell today is where the IWM keep there excess of Firearms. I go in there every night when Im on duty. Warmist place in the museum. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the Hat Date: 08 Feb 09 - 06:50 PM Yes,Indeed designed by Sydney Smirke? |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Richard Bridge Date: 08 Feb 09 - 06:34 PM Bedlam hospital did not move to the buildings now of the Imperial War Museum until 1815. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the Hat Date: 08 Feb 09 - 05:50 PM In regards to Bedlam. I work at Bedlam. No Sue Knockholt is NOT the new Bedlam. The present day site of the Imperial War Musume is the original Bedlam Madhouse( hospital).Lambeth Road. London I do the night security there. I look after it at night when everyone else has gone home. many a shagger of Sheep was locked up there . I go to Knockholt to get away from Bedlam. I am a Bedlam Boy, I aint bleeding bonny, "I smoke like a stack and drink like a Fish, But I, earn me Bleeding money" BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA |

Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: VirginiaTam Date: 05 Feb 09 - 09:39 AM Hi Sue Link worked this morning. Now says the website is under maintenance or has programme error HTTP 500. May it will come back. Anyway it was bizarre item about gay sheep rights and biological sin on Mindtweaks.com Seems there was a study on why some rams prefer to mount other rams and the religious right and PETA got all involved claiming that what the study group was doing amounted to sheep rape. You google phrases and surreal things pop up don't ya know. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Girl Friday Date: 05 Feb 09 - 08:52 AM Tam - obviously that link was far too awful or eweful for my server to contemplate! It through up an error message. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: VirginiaTam Date: 05 Feb 09 - 04:30 AM 100 sheep |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: VirginiaTam Date: 05 Feb 09 - 04:09 AM I think I am going to have to attend Knockholt as an animal rights activist. Set up a ovine rape hotline. But then if the ewes are pining because of this well then maybe I shouldn't worry if folkies want to engage in sheep shagging activity. GAWD! Just too disturbing to think about. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Richard Bridge Date: 05 Feb 09 - 03:56 AM Tractor oil? What's wrong with traditional remedies like Fuller's earth (box) or sawdust (diff)? Anyway "Baa baa black sheep have you any tush? Yes oooh! yes! Sir, thank you very much" |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: romany man Date: 04 Feb 09 - 01:40 PM better not rain sold the shogun to an unsuspecting colonial who is exorting the beast, hope he dont notice the tractor oil in the diff and gearbox, |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Girl Friday Date: 04 Feb 09 - 09:33 AM Cruising through the Lyrics and knowledge I found this. More stuff about sheep |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the hat Date: 09 Jan 09 - 05:29 PM WHAT DO YOU CALL A lEOPARD WHO BATHS THREE TIME A DAY.....Spotless. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Girl Friday Date: 31 Dec 08 - 08:24 AM As long as I'm not in the marquee when you move it. Had enough of that parlaver when you moved the loos! Our folding caravan is dry, warm, and draught proof with the double glazing, so what would we want with trees? Especiually since they have atendancy to get struck by lightening! |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,woodsie Date: 31 Dec 08 - 04:50 AM Why all this talk about gales and marquees? - the weather will be great, a real scorcher - trust me! |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Richard Bridge Date: 31 Dec 08 - 03:24 AM Actually TDL use a folding caravan, not a trailer tent. Fisheye and Fair Maid use (or have used) a trailer tent. As for things up trees, it might be safer than the mobile thunderbox! |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the hat Date: 30 Dec 08 - 07:13 PM They do sommit else up in a tree too but we shall not go there shall we? |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the hat Date: 30 Dec 08 - 07:11 PM why do tone deaf leopard bother with that trailer tent they might has well sleep up in a tree like leopards do. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the hat Date: 30 Dec 08 - 07:00 PM nominate me has Marquee Man. Huh Whats new. Ive helped put it up and take it down for the last three years. Well this year I help put it up.....so looks like Mick Forde will be taking it down on his own? |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: fisheye Date: 30 Dec 08 - 03:34 AM Unfortunately which ever way we erect the marquee the wind does have a tendency to change. Therefore if we nominate you as 'marquee man', you can keep the entrance in the appropriate direction, |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the hat Date: 29 Dec 08 - 01:10 PM considering the floods and gales we had September last it might be a good idea in June to have the Marquee where it was last September but turned sideways on to prevent great gusts entering the tent. That way we wont have to have the Par-larva and rigmorole of putting up a makeshift enterence shelter which blew down on top of me the second it was put up. sideways on will prevent gusts (if there are any in June) entering the tent and blowing everything over, like my beer.it will make it less drafty and hench warmer for the folk and less dangerous. Brians cigarette end blew off the fag and went stright in me eye. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: VirginiaTam Date: 29 Dec 08 - 08:05 AM 2009 - We will probably be there day time Saturdays if weather permits. 2010 - Friday night thru Sunday. We should have newerish car and some kind of caravan by then. Really looking forward to first overnight Knockholt. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Richard Bridge Date: 29 Dec 08 - 07:17 AM I'll be there but not so sure about this rolling stuff. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the hat Date: 28 Dec 08 - 06:30 PM Thats it. Both Knockholts booked through work and I will be there. ROLL ON KNOCKHOLT |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the Hat Date: 06 Dec 08 - 03:36 PM My Caving Instints have just kicked in. Alarms belles are ringing. I Wouldnt go any where near Knockholt Chalk Mines With someone called Fast buck Freddie lete alone down the Mine. Saints preserve us you not only charge us to get in your charge us to get bloody out again. Yeah that right. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,fast BuckFreddie Date: 06 Dec 08 - 02:51 PM I will do tours of the Knockholt Flint Pit for £2 a head! |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Girl Friday Date: 06 Dec 08 - 11:05 AM I have seen the flock in action (when they escaped into our field). That would surely terrify the mine's owners into submission! |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: romany man Date: 05 Dec 08 - 02:50 PM we could infest the mines with ferrets , like the faversham treacle mines, or we could set the sheep on the owners of the mine, |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST Date: 04 Dec 08 - 02:41 PM I have recieved a message from the Knockholt Chalk mines in regards to my planned visit in June. Due to Health and Safety Regs my request has been turned down Has they can only entertain Caving Clubs and Organisation like K.U.R.G. KENT UNDERGROUN RESEARCH GROUP, Due to P.L.I Public liability insurance. Its a shame that this Nanny state we all live these days prevents folk from a pleasent afternoon of history and a wander round a stunning old mine. I will try to arrange a trip to Chislehurst Caves where there is no such par-larva due to fact that CHISLEHURST CAVES HAVE THERE OWN VISITORS P.L.I. A alturnative date will have to be made for a such a tour. Sorry folks. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Dipsodeb Date: 02 Dec 08 - 01:15 PM just a little sheep joke for richard, how do welsh men find sheep in the long grass ! A. irresistable. Big pat. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST Date: 02 Dec 08 - 07:15 AM Due to folk lighting open fires on the field last year and burning bloody great holes in the ground I suggest we make it quite plain that cooking is only done on the fire during the day or off the ground on a tree stump like I do, or the farmer will get really pissed off. if this gets out of hand. I have located the owners of Knockholt mine and they said to contact them nearer the time and they will arrange a day time visit, which will not interfere with any music sessions I stress that this visit is not for the faint heated or those with walking difficulties or anyone who is remotely scared of the dark. Parafin lamps on loan from Chislehurst caves will be on offer and anyone who has a torch bring it along. we will be shown around by the owner and the tour should last about an hour, No money required. Dress to go down a mine. and wellie boots or hiking boots a deffinate. If no one wishes to go I go on me own I book it for the Saturday afternoon about 2,30. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the hat Date: 28 Nov 08 - 06:31 PM Sorry folks computers froze. that was me above and Im not jokeing the ferret infested treacle mines do excist. |

Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: GUEST,Pete the Hat Date: 28 Nov 08 - 05:43 PM I am sure that many folk know tht I used to be a guide down Chislehurst caves for years behond recall. Well I have discovered on the Internet.Knockholt Chalk Mine. Yes it does excist just type in Knockholt Chalk mine on the Google site and up it pops. Well Iam going to try to gain permission to have a view of the Mine in June. at the time of our Folkmob Knockholt camp. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: VirginiaTam Date: 28 Nov 08 - 04:02 PM RB... love it My mom use to recite this little poem when she was fishing. Of all the fishies in the sea My favourite is the bass He climbs up on the seaweed trees and slides down on his hands and knees She always caught the most fish. That goat thing is more disturbing than any of the sheep stuff. |
Subject: RE: Knockholt 2009 dates From: Girl Friday Date: 28 Nov 08 - 09:35 AM Think we're od'ing on sheep. So here's some goat Goat Song |
