Subject: Lyr Req: 'Where did my snowman go?'
From: ThatHatMan
Date: 09 Nov 08 - 03:04 AM

Hello to all the cafe folk. I'm new on here and I wondered if anyone could help me with any lyrics they have to the song "Where did my snowman go?"
I have a recollection few bits - like:-

Did he kiss the Christmas fairy
Underneath the mistletoe
Where did my snowman - where did my snowman
Where did my snowman go

Did he fly away to Lapland
To become an Eskimo
Where did my snowman - where did my snowman
Where did my snowman go

All offers gratefully received

ThatHatMan

I've been listening to sound samples. You might be able to pull enough pieces together from this to make a singable version. (The parts in italics are sung by a children's choir.)

WHERE DID MY SNOWMAN GO?
Steve Mann, Freddie Poser, Geoffrey Venis

[from a Gene Autry recording:]

...So I lit a little fire just to keep my snowman warm.
Did he slide back home to Snowland to become an Eskimo?
Where is my snowman?

Now there is no man.
Where did my snowman go?

...Has he gone to visit Rudolph, helpin' Santa through the snow?
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman go?

I have sent a note to Santa. I am sure that he would know.
Where did my snowman,
Where did my ...

[from a Petula Clark recording:]

...children, but they said they didn't know.
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman go?

Only yesterday, I met Jack Frost. I knew there'd be a storm,
So I lit a little bonfire just to keep my snowman warm.
Has he gone to visit Rudolph, helpin' Santa through the snow?...

...Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman go?

Tell me, is he at the north pole?
No!
Well, then, is he at the South Pole?
No, no, no!
Where did my snowman go?
Did he slide back home to Snowland to become an Eskimo?
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman go?

Did he kiss the Christmas fairy...?

[from a Patti Page recording:]

... keep my snowman warm.
Did he slide back home to Snowland to become an Eskimo?
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman go?

Did he go to Iceland?
No, no, no!
Well, did he go to Snowland?
No, no, no!
Where?
Where?
Where?
Where?
Where did...?

[these lyrics copied from http://www.theatremusicshop.com/dlg/cart/lyrics/frosty-wheredid.doc:]

I can see his pipe and topper as they lie there in the snow.
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman go?
I've been asking Ma and Poppa but they said they didn't know.
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman go?

Only yesterday I met Jack Frost and knew there'd be a storm,
So I lit a little fire just to keep my snowman warm.

Did he slide back home to Snowland to become an Eskimo?
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman,
Where did my snowman go?
