Subject: RE: Yorkshire & Lincolnshire Music Training From: r.padgett Date: 29 Nov 08 - 04:00 AM This is interesting although I personally feel it may be a bit ambitious, hope I am wrong and that there is a good deal of interest! I am a member of Yorkshire Garland and we as a group are keen to pass on our music and song and traditions such as longword, plays etc There are also other organisations who are interested parties such as Yorkshire Arts (include Lincs too)Ryburn3steps and what is left of SRFN via Stirrings Perhaps some one from your organisation would like to come to our next volunteers meeting in December or send a blurb about your objectives and likely folk content and relevance to the folk scene activities and feedback?? I think it true to say that folk workshops in Uk is largely confined to enthusiastic amateurs and professionals already on the scene All the best Ray |
