Only a couple of weeks away now (28th-30th November) and the camping at the Rugby Club is full but there is still space for indoor campers! Here's the website!!

The website doesn't show the program yet, but it'll probably be on there soon. I'm pretty sure the MudGather will be on Saturday afternoon/teatime as usual, watch this space for definitive info! Don't forget to bring chocolate, prizes for the MudRaffle (money goes to the MudCat), coins for your raffle tickets, songs, tunes, hugs & smiles!!!!

So, who's coming to Bedworth then? And will you be able to come to the MudGather, work permitting?

Sorry we cant make it, no van as yet also Dave's still laid up with his foot they have now found a blood clot so he has to go to the Hospital every day until they get his Warfarin right, We will be thinking about you all have a good time.

Rhiannon: so glad you'll be at Bedworth, been missing you! Hope to get along to a singaraound or two. Might actually have a bit of singing to do myself this year *cross fingers* Sorted a webpage out for myself, what do you think?

And for anyone who might be wondering, the Chort & Peas caravan will be up at the Rugby Club as we will have Rusty (the kitten who isn't there) with us!

By the way, it looks like Malc's on the case & trying to find another campsite for Campers etc. Keep checking the Bedworth website!

I'll be there as an artist, sleeping arrangements won't be as simple as I'd like but one way or another it'll get sorted!!
I'll make efforts to attend the mudgather, it'll very much depend on my playing times, myself and George Papavgeris are playing as a duo so please feel free to come and support!!

One of my slots will in fact be as "G & T", i.e. "George & Tina" with Tina Taylor, doing a mix of my songs, Tina's songs and covers but as a duo. It will probably be at the Saturday Acoustic Concert at 3pm or the Sunday Afternoon Concert at 2pm, don't know which, I have yet to confirm with Tina this weekend when we get together for our final practice.

By the way the above name is provisional, all ideas welcome. Perhaps "Young and Old", Young and Not", "Spring and Winter", "Hot and Cold" (I'll be "Cold"). I also thought of "Janus", the Roman god with the two faces, but that would be fodder to clever-clogs quips....

Julia and myself are both coming for the full weekend, but we've chickened out on the caravan, and will be commuting from Leicester each day.

I'm also going to be writing an article on the Festival for the "Music Maker" magazine, so hope to capture one or two of your gigs/sessions/singarounds -if you see me snapping away with a camera, don't worry it's not the local pervert!

Kitty I'm pretty sure that the MudGather will be a seamless extension of your Singaround on Saturday & I'll get along as soon as I can after my spot at the Conservative Club. It actually looks like my spot is before the concert starts which should prove amusing!!

Dave, as in previous years the MudGather will probably go on for a while so please pop along as soon as you're free! It seems to clash with a lot of the program I'm afraid, maybe next year we can persuade Malc to make it a bit nearer tea-time which would be easier for most Catters I think. I'm going to miss loads of my favourite folkies performing, but it does mean that I'll get more chocolate - Thanks Moses *grin*

NEWSFLASH from Malc!!

Due to the hard work of one of our organisers, we have managed to aquire some additional caravan and campervan parking just a few hundred yards from the Rugby Club. We know a lot of people have been disappointed that they have been unable to book in vans as we were full - we can accommodate an additional 30 or so units so if you are interested go to the web site and book up quickly - vans can only be booked with full week-end tickets I'm afraid, and are very much first come first served!

We will open the online booking until the extra places are filled and these will only be available by secure on-line booking (via PayPal), and - when they are gone they are gone!

The full programme is also now on the web site if you want to know what is happening when.

Our good friends, and partners, at THE CIVIC HALL in BEDWORTH are already looking towards Bedworth 2009 and we have Ralph McTell booked in for the Friday of the festival next year (and a draw in the programme for FREE full tickets for next year including the Ralph McTell concert - so don't forget your programme!)

We have a few late additions to the line up listed on the web site, and are still happy to welcome any additional dance sides that would fancy dancing for us and adding to the atmosphere!

I will be working at the additional campsite,and my understanding of the situation as of now,Sunday,23rd November,is that the overflow site will be for ARTISTES & STEWARDS only,so don't fall over yourselves trying to get on it !! Also,it will be LOCKED after 0130 on Fri & Sat nights (I have got to lock the gate Sat.night,or rather Sun morning ---lucky me !! ).I imagine therefore,that some artistes and stewards already booked on the RC site,will be relocated to the overflow site,to provide more room at RC site----if you see what I mean !!!

Looks like we (Moses and I) may not make the Mud Gather after all unless it hisses down all day Saturday! Malc has asked us to do an extra gig, weather permitting - Town centre Stage at 2:30pm. Then we're on at the Connie Club at 4:00. Hardly gives us time to get down to the Bank and back inbetween.
