Well it looks like the folkmob may be finally moving out of the Tudor Barn after nearly 13 years. Greenwich council are leasing the building and as is usual with them they have failed to inform us what is happening. See folkmob where you can email your views. The nearby Rugby Club which was our temporary home for 3 weeks earlier this year looks like being the new venue, but will not be confirmed until all members have had an opportunity for some input.

Oh and on a positive note. The move to the rugby club qill mean a reduction in club entry fee back to £1 on singaround nights and £2 on guest / PA nights. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that not a penny will be going to the lying bastards of Greenwich Council!!!

Wasn't sure if they would as they were on holiday beforehand, but really pleasesd they managed it. They are going to look after the Fox and Hounds for us for a while. Yeah they are the best...Oink,oink, grrr!

Just a reminder to let you all know that tonight (Wednesday) is Folkmobs last night in the Tudor Barn. Join us for a farewell drink (yes we have beer on tap tonight), sing a few seasonal songs and say bye bye to the venue where we have spent the past 13 years.

Folkmob have settled happily into their new home and we've had a good turnout so far. Just reminding you all that The Dealers are appearing on 18th February and Martin Carthy on 25th March.

The folkmob site had been updated and we have a full page spread in Folk London giving the new details. I'm not sure what other sites the Tudor Barn is on.

Google "folkmob eltham" and look at the text of the first entry Google gives you. Not quite sure what you can do about that.

I am afraid that there are always a lot of scraped sites that will have out of date info.

The Folk Mob site itself has had the page content updated but not the description. Google are quoting the latter.

The current Folk London website is up to date but Gerry Milne's old site is still on line.
