Think of the website you like most put up by a musician or music group. What about the site do you like? What structure or style works for you? What do you like to see or hear?

I hope here to get input for all of us who put up websites, and learn what works well for our fellow mudcatters.

thanks
chance

Hi Chance,

I'll just share this - one thing you can do that's free is a blog. There are several sites. Easy to use.

My blog:
http://richardmattesonsblog.blogspot.com/

I als have a web-site:
http://bluegrassmessengers.com/

I use folk index, Ceolas, and the balad index sites to do research.

Richie

This lot do it for me.
There is ALWAYS something new and of interest, no matter your taste & preference in music.
There are more links than you possibly shake a stick at, and they are ever changing.
The folks you get on this site cover the entire spectrum of genuine humanity.
If there was only one music site on the entire web, this should be it.
Can't think why you would require more, really :-)

Hello Dead Horse. I was speaking of sites for individuals, like Jed Marum's very good site, and others who sign on here.

You're right there's nothing like the Mudcat, but then that spot's taken.
I'm looking for techniques that please on individual or band sites.

thanks.

chance
