22nd November 8pm      £5 ENTRY
Every once in a while a band come along who don't need to rely on a barrage of hyperbole to get your attention, their music speaks plainly and compellingly for itself; The Roots Union are such a band.

The Exeter and Brighton based four- piece wield acoustic guitars; Dobro slide guitar, harmonica, violin, drums and four– part harmonies. They are Tobias Ben Jacob, Phillip Henry, Hannah Martin and Michael Sykes.

The band has already played shows at venues across the South, on the UK festival circuit and even as far afield as Hamburg. They have just finished a much anticipated new EP with producer Nick Gordon in Exeter and are gearing up for a very busy year ahead…

Also appearing are;
John Perkins His production work and songwriting with Barbara McDonald, are also getting great reviews for a film soundtrack song '64 Crayons,' which was recorded for the movie Portraits of Sari directed by Daniel Magro. John does so much for the young musicians of Herefordshire and beyond, promotion, recording and running an open mic for performances.
Penny White

It's in Powys. Hay's Welsh name is Y Gelli (The Grove). Hay is famous for its bookshops and the annual literary festival.

There is a Bluegrass night at the Holly Bush Hay on Wye Bluegrass - OK I put it in the wrong section but it has to stay there for a while.

They also have a Bluegrass weekend in June.
