Isambarde will be playing with their new (occasional) five-piece lineup at the Wilkes Head, St Edwards St, Leek, Staffordshire on Saturday 29th December November 2008. Tickets are £5 in advance from Malcolm, the landlord, a bit more on the night. Isambarde as ever, but with Duncan Arrow on drums and Rupert de Jonghe on bass. This promises to be a cracking night, in a heated marquee at one of the best traditional town pubs in the business. Be careful with the Hartington Bitter though; it's very moreish!
Hope to see you there.
Tim

Thanks Tina; no, it wasn't the right month;the date is 29th NOVEMBER, at the Wilkes Head. Perhaps one of the clones could alter the original post? Please?

Hmmm. I find it quite worrrying that I'm in the band and failed utterly to notice the date was wrong. Perhaps Hartington's is the only beer that causes amnesia before you've drunk it?

If it were in December I could come but as it is, I'll be in Bedworth playing my socks off until something like 9.30pm!
An unfortunate clash of dates, sorry folks!

In response to a few queries recived, Tim, what time does the evening kick off? Are there any supports? I probably should know this!

Kick off is 7.30, and support is from the very wonderful Watson (well known in the Leek and Buxton area, sings, plays the guitar and charms the hell out of all and sundry). Malc the landlord might well play some guitar with him too. I also have beer news; the pub will have the marvellous Black Christmas winter ale on draught. Review can be found here Not a beer to be trifled with! (Sherry is much better for trifling).
