Subject: RE: Great video of Scots Wha Hae! From: GUEST Date: 21 Nov 08 - 09:40 AM I enjoyed the singer's voice and delivery but why did he have to end on the major (G) rather than on the D, as it lessons the dramatic effect? I suppose he was signalling the end of the song but I think it detracts from the overall delivery. |
Subject: RE: Great video of Scots Wha Hae! From: Little Hawk Date: 21 Nov 08 - 12:48 PM I'm of two minds about that. I always used to end it on the D chord when I finished and just leave it hanging...while he decides to resolve it back to the root, the G chord. I kind of like the sound of that, but I think it works fine either way. I'm going to have to try doing it both ways now and see which one suits me better, I guess. |
