I've just got back from the AFO Showcase at Eastwood. An absolutely stunning performance from Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson, and an interesting "fusion" set from Uiscedwr big band. I'd book them both if I was a festival organiser!
I also have to say that the sound mix was brilliant - with the only problem being an inability to hear the right hand of Karen Tweed's accordion. But trying to balance trumpet, bass guitar, several other instruments and Cormac Byrnes assembly of percussion devices must have been a bit of a nightmare for any desk operator.
